I have been driving in SA for the past 10 years using my international license. HOW can i get my SA license?

Answer:

A foreign driving licence can only be exchanged within 1 year of the holder thereof obtaining permanent residence. The Department has published draft regulations for comment that will extend this period to 5 years. It is rumoured that the regulations will be published before the end of this Month. Please check the Government gazette and .

In addition to the above the licence should have been obtained while the holder thereof was not ordinarily resident in South Africa i.e. the holder was not on holiday in the country of issue.

The licence must still be valid in the country of issue.

Allstate auto insurance announced earlier this week that they are purchasing Esurance and Answer Financial from White Mountains Insurance Group according to the article found on USAToday.com.  Allstate is purchasing the companies for about $1 billion and they said the deal will help them obtain customers who prefer certain brands and value choices.

White Mountains Insurance is based in Hanover, New Hampshire and they expect to see an increase in their book value by $80 per .  Esurance sells auto insurance directly to drivers through the internet as well as through extensive call centers.  Answer Financial is the independent insurance agency.

This is a big deal and both parties will be affected.  Allstate has agreed to pay $700 million plus the net value of the companies.  The price altogether will be around $1 billion.  Spo

Nevada auto insurance quotes are too expensive for many residents in the state, and Assemblyman Kelvin Atkinson saw the need for the poor to get some help.   According to the article “Opposition Emerges to Bill Offering Low-Cost Auto Insurance to Poor” by Cy Ryan on The Las Vegas Sun website, Atkinson developed a bill to begin a low-cost auto insurance program for those living below poverty level in Clark County.

Although his intentions are good, Atkinson is meeting with some opposition to the bill from the Republicans.  Sen. Michael Roberson, R-Las Vegas isn’t for the bill stating that a similar plan has been tried in California and is not working.  Other Senators such as Sen. Mike Schneider, chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Labor and Energy appreciates what the bill is trying to accomplish and sees the need to help the working poor afford auto insurance quotes.
