So you’ve got a customer who’s just loaded up with questions about the policy you’re selling: The features, the cost, the coverages, everything. What do you do?

Ask him or her a few questions back.

While you should be careful not to overuse this technique, it is an excellent marketing strategy that increases the close rate significantly. Why? It leads the client to choose your service without even realizing it. As you ask the customer more questions, you lead him or her into building the policy for themselves. For instance, if a client asks if it is easy to add a family member to their policy, you could answer, “Would you like to add your
children now?” But be cautious. Getting a client into a game of 20 questions could come off as pushy.

Everyone knows that young students are healthier. Most have (and will) not see the inside of a hospital for a very long time. However, we need to understand that good health in the past is never a guarantee of freedom from illness or emergencies in the future.

Buying international student insurance is a great way to mitigate the risk associated with unexpected health emergencies. It is also mandatory to have some minimum insurance coverage in many universities.

Insurance premiums cost more the older you get, as the risk associated is higher. If some unexpected health condition occurs when you are not covered by a policy, that pre-existing condition (and any other issues connected to that) will not be covered when you do buy the insurance.

Since it is unavoidable (and in many cases mandatory) to have health coverage, it makes sense to buy an international student health insurance as soon as possible. Read more…

With the recent passage of health care, parents should now be glad that their children will receive coverage even if there’s a pre-existing health condition involved. This is probably one of the few aspects in the reform the public is in favor to. Unfortunately, it seems that the legal language may not be strong enough to implement what is supposed to be the real principle of the children’s coverage.

Lawyers of several health insurance companies interpreted the legislation and they said that it only requires them to cover pre-existing conditions for children whom are already insured. They also added that the provision does not necessitate their companies to write a new policy for a child with pre-existing conditions.

Because of this loophole in the children’s coverage, the Obama administration is planning to release regulations that will clarify the fact that “pre-existing” refers to both initial access to insurance and receiving full benefits once in it. Otherwise
